Hoteliers present slew of tourism suggestions to Guv

In latest news from Uttarakhand, during a meeting between the Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (retd) and the representatives of the Nainital Hotels and Restaurants Association and Boat Association Nainital at Raj Bhavan, the latter apprised Singh of the challenges they have been facing and urged him to tale initiatives to have them redressed.
Among the suggestions presented by the stakeholders in the tourism sector include regular removal of silt from Naini lake, enhancing parking facility, improving traffic system, finding alternative sources of drinking water, approving renovation of old hotels, running special trains for Manaskhand, operating big buses to Nainital and expansion of Pantnagar airport.
The Governor said he would take up the suggestions with appropriate authorities while urging them to initiate measures to ensure value addition in the tourism sector.
