Health Dept undertakes health screening of 51,582 pilgrims in Kedarnath

The Health department has conducted health screening of 51,582 pilgrims out of the 9,04,395 who have visited Kedarnath so far. The chief medical officer (CMO) of Rudraprayag, Dr HC Martolia said that the department has set up Medical Relief Points (MRPs) on the Kedarnath bridle path for prompt treatment of pilgrims. The department is providing necessary health facilities and has made other arrangements for the pilgrims, he added. Dr Martolia said that on Monday 2,950 pilgrims on Kedarnath Yatra were treated in the OPDs. A total of 99,426 pilgrims including 75,758 males and 23,668 females have so far been treated by Health department personnel in the Kedarnath Yatra. The department has so far provided oxygen facility to 7,148 pilgrims on Kedarnath Yatra.
