A commemorative function was organised at the Uttarakhand regional office of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) here on Thursday to mark the bank’s completion of 43 years in service to the nation. The State cabinet minister Ganesh Joshi was present as the chief guest. An exhibition highlighting NABARD’s journey was also put up. The chief general manager Uttarakhand, NABARD Vinod Kumar Bisht spoke of his bank’s significant achievements and its contribution towards agriculture and rural development of the country during the past four decades and various initiatives and projects implemented by NABARD in Uttarakhand. In his address, Joshi spoke about the production of millets and organic farming with the help of NABARD.
