CM presents appointment letters to 153 candidates selected through UKPSC

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to 153 candidates selected through the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) during a programme organised here on Monday. The candidates were selected by the commission for 68 posts of assistant professors in the Higher Education department, 63 posts of executive officers and 22 posts of tax and revenue inspectors under the Urban Development department.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami extended his congratulations to the candidates and emphasised that their role will involve serving as partners of the State government in serving the public. He highlighted the importance of fulfilling the responsibilities bestowed upon them with utmost dedication and honesty and expressed the need for everyone to contribute towards making Uttarakhand a model State. Dhami added that the selected individuals have reached their current positions through their hard work and the support of their parents and teachers. He further said that all individuals should discharge their duties with integrity and unwavering commitment within their respective fields. Dhami further expressed hope that those chosen for roles in the Urban Development department will help expedite the city development projects with complete dedication, contributing to the State’s progress. Dhami highlighted that the State administration will work to promptly fill the vacant positions in various departments in the near future.
Further, cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the leadership of CM Dhami, more than 15,500 youths have been appointed to government jobs over the course of three years. This year, appointments are expected to include 4,000 basic teachers, 1,600 LTs, 882 lecturers, about 622 principals and 1,500 block and cluster resource persons. A total of 11,000 individuals are slated to be appointed in the Education department. Additionally, the government is planning to appoint 1,500 nursing staff, 750 ANMs, 500 CHOs, 500 doctors, assistant professors for 378 medical colleges and candidates to 3,700 positions in Almora, Pithoragarh, Haridwar and Rudrapur medical colleges, he said.
“All the young people selected by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission will become our qualified and competent officers shortly. Currently, there are 105 positions in the State and these young officers will play a crucial role in advancing urban development initiatives. The arrival of these candidates will expedite the department’s work,” said cabinet minister Prem Chand Aggarwal.
