IIT Roorkee celebrates I-Day with Tiranga Yatra

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee celebrated Independence Day zealously in front of the iconic James Thomason building. The event saw the participation of students, faculty members, officers, employees and their families.
The director IIT Roorkee Prof K K Pant hoisted the national flag. In his address, he emphasised the importance of unity, innovation and social responsibility in building a progressive India. Further, he highlighted the IIT Roorkee’s role in contributing to the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
The cultural performances showcased the diverse heritage and talent within the IIT Roorkee community. In the afternoon, the Tiranga Yatra was organised by Think India, IIT Roorkee.
