GUPUAT inks agreements with 2 Moscow-based universities

In latest news from Uttarakhand, agreements were signed between two Moscow-based universities and the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) during the GBPUAT vice-chancellor Manmohan Singh Chauhan’s two-week Russia visit. These two universities are Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology and Russian State Agricultural University, Moscow. The MoUs were signed for exchange of technical research and education in the field of veterinary science.
On behalf of Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, the rector P Sergei Blademrovich and the dean of Faculty Moscow Veterinary Academy Abramov Pavel took the delegation on a tour of the research work going on in the Academy and shared information about the research work mainly being done on horses and sheep obtained by embryo transplantation after breeding wild sheep.
In his address, Chauhan introduced the progress of the university and its contribution in the field of Green Revolution and its place at the global level. He said that India and Russia have been good friends since the time of Independence and at present both the countries are transferring technology and scientists which will benefit both the universities and countries in the field of production and productivity.
