Following the declaration of the Union government to increase the dearness allowance (DA) of employees by three per cent, the employee organisations are also demanding a similar increase in DA in the State. The State government employees are receiving DA which is 50 per cent of their basic salary and they are now expecting that the Pushkar Singh Dhami government will follow the footsteps of the union government to announce the increase in the DA.
The president of State Employees Joint Federation Arun Kumar Pandey told The Pioneer that the State government should also increase the DA of its employees before the festival of Deepawali. He said that since Deepawali is on October 31, which is the last day of the month, the State government should release the salary before the festival.
