Mothers and doctors have the power to save lives: Raturi

Former director general of police Anil Kumar Raturi said that mothers and doctors have the power to save lives. Speaking as the chief guest at a talk on the book ‘From the Pen of Surgeons’ by Dr BKS Sanjay and Dr Gaurav Sanjay at Doon Library and Research Centre, he said that this book highlights the importance of education in the development of society and the nation. He also stated that the power of words is immortal and extends beyond the boundaries of any profession.
Former judge Rajesh Tandon stated that both the author and co-author have worked to raise awareness among the general public. He emphasised that everyone should fulfill their responsibilities to enhance health and wellness. VMS Uttarakhand Technical University vice chancellor Onkar Singh stated that artificial intelligence is influencing the entire ecosystem and stressed that parents should pass on their knowledge to their children and teach them to be mindful of artificially created tools. Lieutenant general (retd) JS Negi stated that the book covers many important issues including health, education, nutrition, various health issues, overpopulation and road safety. Retired IAS officer Sanjiv Chopra, said that this book covers a wide range of topics and emphasised that the more languages one knows, the better one understands the world.
Dr BKS Sanjay said that health, education and nutrition are the fundamental needs of every individual. This book captures the experience and knowledge of the authors in their professional field, he said, while also thanking The Pioneer for publishing for the columns published in the newspaper, which have been compiled in this book. Dr Gaurav Sanjay, former chief secretary N Ravishankar and others also expressed their views.
