A student of Sociology at Government Postgraduate College, New Tehri, Kanchan cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) June 2025 in Sociology conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Kanchan is the first student of Sociology at the college who has cleared the exam.
The in-charge of the Sociology department, Tanu Mittal congratulated him on the achievement and attributed it to hard work, dedication and confidence. He further said that this success would inspire other students as well.
Senior professors of Sociology, Manikant Shah and Soban Singh also congratulated Kanchan on this achievement.
