BJP condoles Uttarkashi disaster, says Modi and Shah monitoring situation

Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt expressed condolences over the disaster in the Dharali area of Uttarkashi on Tuesday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are monitoring the situation and receiving regular updates. Bhatt prayed for peace to the souls of those who lost their lives and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. He urged all safe local party workers to support ongoing relief and rescue efforts, especially in providing food, water, medical aid and shelter to the affected people.
In his condolence message, Bhatt said that the news of heavy damage caused by the flash flood in the Dharali region is deeply distressing. The State government is carrying out relief and rescue operations on a war footing.
The Army, SDRF, NDRF, district administration and other agencies concerned are working to save the affected people. He stated that under the directions of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, disaster management teams have deployed advanced machinery to the site. Bhatt added that after receiving inputs from local party workers, he has urged them to cooperate with the administration in the relief operations.
He mentioned that party workers are already helping to provide food, water and shelter to local residents and tourists trapped in the affected areas. Offering condolences to the families of the deceased, he said there can be no replacement for a lost life but the government will extend all possible help to the bereaved families. He assured that the government has made proper medical arrangements for the injured.
Bhatt stated that the government and the party organisation are fully committed to ensuring the safety of those affected by the disaster.
