CM Dhami to shun birthday celebrations to express solidarity with disaster- affected

In view of the heavy rain triggered natural disasters in different parts of the State, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has decided to observe his birthday on September 16, in a simple manner.
He said that on his birthday, he will devote time to help the disaster-affected people and the general public.
The CM said that in many parts of the state, families affected by the disaster are facing difficult circumstances and in such a situation, every section of the society should come forward to support them.
“Dedicating an occasion like a birthday to the service of society and the needy is a true celebration. Every effort can become a source of strength and hope for the affected families,’’ he said.
The CM said that works like cleanliness campaigns, planting trees, providing support for education and disaster relief can become a medium to bring positive change in the society.
“The spirit of service and sacrifice is the real identity of Uttarakhand and if every citizen works with this thinking, then the state will get strength and new energy in every field,” he added.
