UMSSB recruits 64 pharmacists for Govt medical college hospitals

The government medical colleges of the State will soon get the services of 64 new pharmacists. The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board (UMSSB) has recruited 64 candidates against 73 vacant posts in the government medical colleges of the state and has sent the list to the State government. It has withheld the result of eight candidates on the orders of Uttarakhand High Court.
Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that the State government had asked the UMSSB to start the recruitment process of 73 posts of pharmacists in the government medical colleges and associated hospitals of the State. He said that the board has selected the candidates based on year wise seniority of passing the qualifying examinations and has sent a list of 64 candidates. On the orders of HC, the board has withheld the result of eight candidates, he said.
Rawat said that the appointment of new pharmacists will help in better drug management and bring transparency in the process of distribution of medicines in the government medical college hospitals.
