Mahila Congress demands resignation of PM Modi & union minister Puri

The Uttarakhand Mahila Congress organised a protest march here on Monday in which it demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister Hardeep Puri. Led by president of Mahila Congress Jyoti Rautela, the march commenced from Rajiv Bhawan and after passing through Gandhi Park- Clock Tower- Paltan Bazar and Tehsil Chowk ended at Rajiv Bhawan.

Addressing the party workers, Rautela said that reports claiming that the names of PM Modi and Union minister Puri appear in Epstein files are extremely serious and worrying. She said that it is essential that the full truth be revealed to the people of the country. Rautela demanded that an impartial and timely investigation should be conducted into this entire matter and PM and Puri should resign from their posts on moral grounds till the investigation is completed,

“Transparency and accountability should be paramount in the country’s politics. If any person holding public office is implicated in such controversies, he should take moral responsibility and resign,’’ she said. Urmila Dhoundiyal Thapa, Asha Manorama Sharma and took part in the protest.
