Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha unveils flag, aims to rise as regional political force

The Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha (USM) on Saturday unveiled its official flag and announced its new State executive during a programme, marking a key organisational development for the outfit.

A large number of people attended the event, where many also joined the Morcha, strengthening its base in the State. USM leaders present at the programme said that the growing public support would further empower the organisation in its future initiatives. Addressing the gathering, speakers said that the USM is committed to fighting for Uttarakhand’s identity, employment opportunities for youth, women’s dignity and the overall development of the State. They expressed confidence that the organisation would emerge as a strong regional political force in the future.

During the event, the newly formed State executive was announced with Bobby Panwar being unanimously appointed as the State president. Tribhuvan Chauhan and Bhuvendra Koranga were named State vice presidents, while Sudhir Rai Rawat was appointed general secretary. Chitrapal Singh Sajwan took charge as treasurer and Rajendra Bhatt was appointed executive general secretary.

In addition, lieutenant colonel (retd) Sumit Mohan Garg was appointed as media in-charge, Pushpa Rawat as State spokesperson, Sumit Sajwan as social media in-charge and Gambhir Aswal as city social media in-charge.

Several members were also included in the State executive committee, including Narendra Rawat, Yashpal Aswal, Sanjay Badakoti, Yashveer Bisht, Pramod Rana, Bhanu Chamola, Sohit Negi, Rahul Rawat, Shankar Singh Dane and Bobby Ramgarh.
