The Uttarakhand Vidyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) honoured 114 selected teachers from the State with the Best Teacher Award 2026, recognising their outstanding performance in the Board Examination 2026. The award recipients were presented with shawls, mementos and certificates by UVSP secretary Vinod Prasad Simalti and director of Kaushal Academy International Dr Girish Ghugtiyal, among others.
During the ceremony, Simalti said that this initiative is a first for the council. The event was organised to encourage subject teachers whose students achieved 100 per cent marks in various subjects and to promote a high-quality educational environment in the State. He expressed gratitude to Kaushal Academy International, Ramnagar, for its support and urged the honoured teachers to continue their efforts and share their experiences, enabling other teachers and students to benefit as well.
Additionally, Ghugtiyal shared information about the ongoing efforts and activities of his organisation, encouraging all teachers to take advantage of these initiatives and actively participate in the skill development of the State’s students. Additional director of Kumaon Division, Gajendra Singh Saun, also addressed the programme.
Apart from this, international athlete Vijendra Chaudhary urged everyone to excel in their respective fields.
