The MLA Sumit Hridayesh inspected the newly established state-of-the-art Cath Lab at Dr Sushila Tiwari Hospital and reviewed the healthcare facilities available at the hospital.
During the visit, the MLA toured different sections of the hospital and interacted with admitted patients and also their attendants to obtain feedback regarding treatment facilities, medical services and other arrangements being provided by the hospital administration.
He said that the advanced cath lab would prove highly beneficial for residents of the Kumaon region and expressed concerns over the non-availability of specialist doctors required for the operation of the cath lab. He further informed that discussions are being held at appropriate levels to ensure appointment of specialist doctors at the earliest.
Notably, he had raised this issue repeatedly in the State Assembly.
