NTPC project observes Swachhata Pakhwada

Swachhata Pakhwada was organised from May 16 to 31 at NTPC Tapovan Vishnugad Hydro Power Project. Organised under the guidance of the executive director and project head, Ajay Kumar Shukla, the campaign aimed to increase awareness about cleanliness, promote healthy lifestyle and connect various sections of the society with cleanliness. The fortnight featured a Swachhata pledge-taking programme in which employees, CISF personnel, family members, children and students and teachers of local schools participated.
During the fortnight, cleanliness drives were carried out on the project premises, residential areas and public spaces. Dr Dalveer Singh of the project’s medical department conducted special sessions for support staff on personal hygiene, healthy habits, waste segregation and safe waste disposal.
CISF personnel conducted a special cleanliness drive at the Garhi Bhawani Temple. To promote community participation, a cleanliness pledge, a cleanliness drive, essay, drawing and poster competitions were organised at the Government Inter College, Baragaon.
