Haridwar, Bijnor police hold joint meeting for safe Kanwad Yatra

To ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the upcoming Kanwad Yatra, police officials from Haridwar and Bijnor held a joint meeting on Sunday. During the meeting, officers discussed security arrangements, traffic management and coordination between the two districts. A detailed plan was prepared to ensure the convenience and safety of lakhs of Kanwadiyas.

The officials decided to regulate the movement of heavy vehicles, implement traffic diversions and strengthen checking at the inter-state border. They also discussed crowd management and agreed to maintain constant communication through wireless networks to deal with any emergency. The officers further decided to strictly enforce the government’s guidelines regarding the use of DJs during the Kanwad Yatra.

The meeting also focused on providing basic facilities for pilgrims, including drinking water, medical services and smooth traffic movement. After the meeting, officials from both districts jointly inspected the Kanwad Yatra route and important diversion points to review the preparations and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials.

The meeting was attended by Haridwar superintendent of police (Traffic) Nisha Yadav, SP (City) Abhay Singh, Bijnor additional SP Gautam Rai, CO city Shishupal Singh Negi, CO Najibabad Akanksha Gautam, CO Traffic Bhupendra Singh and other officers from both districts. At the end of the meeting,
