24 new Swine Flu cases in Doon, total reaches 105

The Dehradun chief medical officer Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma said that 24 new swine flu (influenza H1N1) cases have been reported in the district on Monday. With this, the total number of swine flu cases in Dehradun district has gone up to 105, out of which 71 are from Dehradun district and 34 from other States and districts. Five patients have died so far. 

Sharma added that of the 24 new cases reported on Monday, 16 are from Dehradun and eight from other states and districts.

At present, 36 cases are active. Of them, 22 are admitted at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, seven at All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, four at Himalayan Hospital, one at Kailash Hospital, one at Government Doon Medical College (GDMC) Hospital and one at Graphic Era Hospital.

Sharma said that anyone running fever for three to four days, along with chest pain and difficulty in breathing should get tested immediately for swine flu and take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
