Meeting on welfare of leprosy patients organised

To ensure the welfare of leprosy patients, an inter-departmental meeting was held in the meeting hall of the Treasury Dehradun on Friday. The meeting was chaired by the sub district magistrate Dehradun.
The meeting was attended by the special monitor of the National Human Rights Commission Dr Pradip Kumar Nayak, chief medical officer Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma, additional chief medical officer Dr B S Negi, district-level officers from various departments, and nodal officers from district and sub-district hospitals. Dermatologists from Subharti, Graphic Era, and Himalayan hospitals also participated.
Present at the meeting, Nayak directed all departments to widely publicise every scheme for leprosy patients and ensure that leprosy patients receive the benefits of all schemes. Directing the Health department, he said all patients should be provided with timely and appropriate treatment in accordance with government standards.
