CM hands over appointment letters to 332 youngsters

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami handed over appointment letters to a total of 332 newly appointed employees of AYUSH department and Employees State Insurance Scheme in a programme organised at his residence on Monday.

Congratulating the newly appointed youngsters, the CM said that they should not view their government duties merely as a job, but rather as a means to bring positive change to the lives of those at the bottom of society. He added that AYUSH and the ESIS are directly linked to the health and lives of people. 

The CM said that people who come to government health centres and hospitals from remote areas for treatment have a deep trust in the system. The sensitivity, promptness, and efficiency of the staff further strengthen this trust. He asked the newly appointed staff to set an example through their work ethic.

He averred that the State government has taken effective steps to ensure a transparent and fair recruitment system. The CM said that strict action has been taken against the copying mafia and a strict anti-cheating law has been implemented. He said that in the last five years more than 35,000 youth have secured government jobs in the State.

The CM said that Uttarakhand, besides being Devbhoomi, has a rich tradition of Yoga, Ayurveda and medicinal herbs. The state government is continuously working towards developing Uttarakhand as a model ‘AYUSH State’ and a global wellness hub. 

The CM said that the Panchakarma services are being modernized, and Ayurveda Excellence Centres are being established in the State. He said that through e-Sanjeevani, people are being provided with the facility of expert consultation at home. “The AYUSH Setu portal is also an important initiative in this direction. Many homestays in the state have been linked to the wellness services of nearby Ayurveda hospitals. The state government strives to ensure that people visiting Uttarakhand experience better health and mental peace through yoga, Ayurveda and Panchakarma,’’ he said.

Cabinet minister Madan Kaushik said that the State government is continuously working towards making AYUSH services in the State more robust and accessible to the public. He said that with the arrival of the newly appointed personnel the efficiency of the department will increase and the health services will get strengthened.

Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, MLAs Umesh Sharma Kau, Savita Kapoor, secretary Labour Sridhar Babu Addanki, secretary AYUSH and AYUSH Education Ranjana Rajguru and others attended the programme.
