State agitationist Ravinder Jugran joins AAP
State agitationist Ravinder Jugran alias Rabbu joined Aam Admi Party in state capital Dehradun on Friday.
A former senior BJP leader, Ravinder Jugran accused both earlier Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led governments of failing to provide even basic infrastructure facilities in the rural predominant Uttarakhand. He said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was the best option for the public to bring a change in Uttarakhand.
Jugran said he was fighting against the corrupt system alone but AAP has provided him with a platform to fight along with like-minded people. He said that his decision to join AAP was not abrupt but a well thought decision. “I am quite impressed by the ideology of the party and their performance in Delhi’s development. AAP has proved itself in Delhi and we are hopeful that it will be same here too,” said Jugran. He asserted that he was a soldier of BJP for 23 years but decided to leave the party when got to know that nothing is actually changing in BJP. “Uttarakhand needs an improved education system, employment opportunities, better health facilities and transparency in the Government system but the BJP has failed to provide even basic health facilities in the remote rural areas in the last four years despite being in majority in State as well as in the Centre,” said Jugran. Stating that after giving over two decades to Congress and BJP who have failed immensely to develop Uttarakhand, Jugran said that people here like Delhi should also give a chance to AAP in 2022 Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.
