Congress protest on price rise a drama: Bhagat

The Bharatiya Janata Party state president Banshidhar Bhagat said that the demonstration by Congress leader and ex-CM Harish Rawat on the issue of price rise was nothing more than a drama. Bhagat said that the prices of petrol and diesel have risen but the level of price rise is still quite far from the level it was at during the tenure of the Congress. Food items and daily use commodities are easily affordable for the common people, said Bhagat. He further said that the Indian economy is progressing as revealed by study conducted by international organisations.

Stating that the nation was progressing considerably under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP State president further said that in addition to economic reforms like demonetisation and GST, the reliability of the government has strengthened in the economic sphere during the Covid-19 pandemic as seen by the trust placed in the government’s policies by the companies, share market and general public. “Under the leadership of PM Modi, the nation is progressing consistently.

The nation’s economy has improved despite the Covid pandemic and other difficulties due to the policies of the Modi government. The State is also progressing due to the farsighted policies of the centre. The people are now bored of the Congress’ propaganda,” said Bhagat.
