CM Rawat’s statements tarnished image of U’khand- Cong
The recent utterances of the Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat have given a chance to the opposition to target the CM and attack the BJP government of the state. The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Pritam Singh said on Monday that the statements of the new CM have put a blot on the image of Uttarakhand and demeaned the state in the eyes of the world. CM Rawat had stated in Ramnagar in Nainital district on Sunday that people who had only two children became envious of those who had 20 during the lockdown as less ration was given to them. In another statement the CM said that America rules for over 200 years on Indians.
Talking to the media persons on Monday the PCC president said that CM’s advice to people to have 20 children is both laughable and sad. He said the statements highlight the ideology of the BJP and the belief of the CM. Taking a dig at the knowledge of the history of the CM who had said that America ruled over India for 200 years, the PCC president said that it shows that the new CM has no knowledge of history.
