The Head of Department of Cancer Surgery at Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr Pankaj Kumar Garg has been selected as the national representative of European Society of Surgical Oncology and European Young Surgeons Alumni Group (EYSAC). He is the only representative for this international society from India. The Chairman of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Mahant Devendra Das has expressed happiness and congratulated Dr Garg for his outstanding achievement. He hoped that the Cancer Surgery Department of the Hospital would continue to provide ultra modern health services to Cancer patients.
The European Society of Surgical Oncology was established in the year 1981. This is the most important society of Cancer specialists in Europe. More than 20,000 members have been associated with this society. The mission of this society is to promote the study, research and treatment of Cancer so that the maximum number of patients can be benefitted world over. The EYSAC was established at Bordeaux in the year 2010 in order to provide guidance to new doctors.
