Covid-19; 33 new cases, 20 recoveries reported in U’khand

The state health department reported 33 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) and 20 recoveries from the disease in Uttarakhand on Thursday. Death of no patient of the disease was reported in the state on the day.
The cumulative count of Covid-19 patients in the state is now at 3,42,701 while a total of 3,28,934 patients have recovered from the disease so far. In the state 7376 people have lost their lives to Covid -19 till date. The recovery percentage from the disease is at 95.98 while the sample positivity rate on Thursday was 0.21 per cent.
The state health department reported 10 new patients of Covid -19 from Dehradun, four each from Udham Singh Nagar, Chamoli and Uttarkashi, three from Rudraprayag, two from Pithoragarh and one each from Almora, Bageshwar and Pauri on Thursday. No new patient was found in Champawat, Nainital and Tehri districts on the day.
The state now has 342 active cases of Covid-19. Dehradun with 104 cases is at the top of the table of active cases while Chamoli has 46 active cases. Nainital has five while Tehri has two active cases each.
The state reported no new case of Mucormycosis (Black fungus) on the day. A total of 574 patients of the disease have so far been reported in the state. In the ongoing vaccination drive 87,363 people were vaccinated in 808 sessions in the state on Thursday.
