A programme was held at Patanjali university to mark the conclusion of Manas Gurukul Ram Katha and the 28th Sanyas Diwas of Swami Ramdev on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the Yoga guru expressed his views on a range of subjects from renunciation to Pakistan and national development.
He said, “A sanyasi has one religion- to provide health, prosperity and values to the nation. Today, Patanjali Yogpeeth is working on its scheme from health to prosperity for crores of Indians. Patanjali will make its contribution to make India grand and the biggest economic and spiritual power in the world.”
Referring to the political instability in neighbouring Pakistan, he said that Pakistan is an unstable nation. “It is true that we cannot change a neighbour but it is also true that neither Pakistan nor any other rival power can harm India with Prime Minister Narendra Modi here,” he said. Ramdev also spoke on Ruchi Soya and the future plans for this company.
His aide Acharya Balkrishna mentioned the celebration of Ramnavami and culmination of Navratri. “On this day 27 years ago, Swami Ramdev had adopted Sanyas and worked since then to spread Indian culture, values and traditions across the world,” he said. Balkrishna said that Patanjali had done the task of publishing the published-unpublished works of 50 scholars who had worked on the Vedas. He dedicated eight volumes of ‘Vedo Ki Shikshaen’ to Maharshi Dayanand, Morari Bapu and Swami Ramdev on the occasion. Stressing on the importance of linking the Vedas with science, he said that Patanjali is undertaking detailed research on this. He said that Pantanjali has also published world class research papers in Hindi and Sanskrit.
Expressing his views on the occasion, noted Kathavachar Morari Bapu spoke of the glory of Lord Ram. He also appreciated the works done by Patanjali.
