Swami Ramdev said that the Guru-Shishya Parampara of traditional Gurukuls ensured the dissemination of knowledge along with ethics, purity of character and decorum.
He was speaking at the annual function of the Patanjali Gurukulam here on Saturday. He said that students who learned in ancient Gurukuls went on to lead the world. Patanjali Gurukulam is also following ancient traditions to develop the youngsters into world leaders, he averred. Children aged three to five years and those studying in classes upto XII from most Indian States are learning in this institution, he added.
Juna Peethadheeshwar Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri said that this institution is a unique laboratory of Bharat’s timeless culture, Vedic sensitivities and conservation-upliftment. He appreciated the level of awareness developing among children in the Patanjali Gurukulam, adding that light from this institution will spread far and wide.
Acharya Balkrishna opined that Indian culture and Sanatan traditions have elicited more focus due to Patanjali Gurukulam. Children here not only gain knowledge but also imbibe culture with their parents also appreciating the values inculcated in them.
Parmarth Niketan head Swami Chidanand Saraswati also appreciated the education in and the students of the institution. He said that it was unfortunate that the content which should have been publicised was concealed while a fake narrative was shown, adding that Sanatan is in the roots of the nation’s actual history. This is the time to view India from India’s eyes and Patanjali Gurukulam is playing an important role in this, he added. Students of the Gurukulam who won in various academic sports and other competitions were also felicitated during the programme. Students of Patanjali Gurukuls in Jwalapur, Devprayag and Haridwar also presented dance and drama performances on the occasion.
