Experts to dwell on relationships in ‘Gangdhara: 2.0’ lecture series

Experts will dwell on the disintegrating relationships in society during Devbhoomi Vikas Sansthan’s lecture series, ‘Gangdhara: 2.0’ at the auditorium of the Culture department on Haridwar road on November 15. The programme will be co-hosted by the Doon University. Discussion will also held on the benefit of pre-wedding counselling in saving broken relationships.
Informing about the programme, Haridwar MP and former chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that experts will discuss pre-wedding counselling and the importance of understanding and dialogue to reduce the rising divorce rate in the society. He said that five ideal couples and families, who are role models for society, will be presented with the happy family prosperous family award on the occasion. “The award aims to convey the message that the institution of marriage has been bonding our society for centuries,’’ he said. Two books edited by experts from the Devbhoomi Vikas Sansthan and Doon University will also be released at the event.
Rawat said that the event will be dedicated to Gaura Devi whose 100th birth anniversary is being celebrated this year and national tribal day which is on November 15.
