Budget milestone for massive tourism development: Maharaj

Hailing the Governor’s address in the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha session at Bhararisain, the State Tourism minister Satpal Maharaj said that it was a document of the State government’s policies, achievements and future development plans. Notably, on the first day of the session, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presented a budget of Rs 1,11,703.21 crore in the House: 11.41 per cent more than the previous budget. “This budget will push for public welfare and boost promotion of tourism,” Maharaj said.
“This budget, along with the government’s achievements and upcoming plans, is an important and historic step towards the overall development of the State in the direction of job creation, tourism expansion, women empowerment and strengthening of infrastructure, as well as promoting employment and self-employment. This budget will prove to be a milestone towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a strong and prosperous Uttarakhand,” he added.
He further said that this budget would boost up Char Dham Yatra, winter tourism, inclusive development and self-reliance.
