CM gives financial approval of Rs 1,252 crore for Kumbh Mela & other projects

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given financial approval of Rs 1,252 crores for various development projects in the State.

He approved a sum of Rs 115 crore for Triveni Ghat reconstruction work in Rishikesh Ganga Corridor Project and Rs 69.06 crore for Har ki Paudi development under Haridwar Ganga Corridor Project. The approvals were given under the Special Assistant to State for Capital Investment.

Similarly, a sum of Rs 25.13 crore was approved for payment of compensation for land acquired in 18 villages under Tehsil Tehri and Madannegi for construction of 28.06 kilometre long motor road linking to the ring road around the Tehri Lake. 

Dhami gave sanction of Rs 4.67 crore for the construction of eight Igloo dome shaped huts for the purpose of promoting Astro Tourism near Champhu Nala of Gabyang on Kailash Mansarovar route in Dharchula of Pithoragarh district. The CM approved a sum of Rs 77.69 crore for payment of salary, allowances and medical reimbursement for schools under Samagra Shiksha. Similarly, a sum of Rs 155.37 crore was approved for the payment of salary of personnel working in 21 aided colleges under Higher Education department. 

The CM also gave his approval for release of Rs 350 crore for the MLA local area development fund for all the 70 MLAs of the State. A sum of Rs five crore is provided to every MLA in a year for development works in their constituency.

A sum of Rs six crore was approved by the CM for  laying and distribution of pipeline in Haridwar under Kumbh Mela-2027. Similarly a sum of Rs six crore  was approved for repair and improvement work of previously constructed roads in Har Ki Paudi, Kankhal  Gauri Shankar area in Bahadrabad development block of Haridwar district. The CM also approved the release of an amount of Rs one crore to every district under the Disaster Mitigation Fund (State Sector) in order to prevent loss of life, money and assets due to natural calamities.
