Congress leaders pay tributes to Manmohan Singh on death anniversary

Glowing tributes were paid to former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his death anniversary on Friday. A programme was organised to mark the day at the headquarters of the State Congress. Speaking on the occasion, the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that Manmohan Singh played a historic role in strengthening the economy and ensuring social justice and protecting democratic values. He said that Singh’s entire life has been an inspiration for honesty, integrity and service to the nation. His contributions will continue to inspire future generations to work for the nation’s welfare.
Former Chief Minister Harish Rawat said that Manmohan Singh’s role in public welfare decisions ranging from liberalization to MNREGA, education and social security is unforgettable. The Congress Party will always serve the nation by following his ideas and policies.
The Congress general secretary Rajendra Singh Bhandari, vice president Suryakant Dhasmana, Naveen Joshi, Rajendra Shah, Garima Mahara Dasauni, Pratima Singh, Rajesh Chamoli, Jaswinder Singh Gogi, and others attended the programme.
