To facilitate prompt and mutual settlement of pending cases in the district, a National Lok Adalat will be organised on September 13 in the district court Uttarkashi as well as in the civil judge courts at Purola and Barkot.
Informing this, the secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Sachin Kumar said that certain types of criminal cases, cheque bounce cases, bank recovery cases, motor accident cases, matrimonial cases and family court related cases, wage disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bill related cases, revenue cases (pending in district court only), other civil cases like rent, easement, injunction cases and specific relief related cases would be included in the National Lok Adalat. All these cases would be settled on the basis of mutual settlement, he added.
He informed that a person desirous of getting his case settled in the National Lok Adalat would have to submit his application to the District Legal Services Authority office or the court concerned by September 12.
He appealed to the people to take advantage of this opportunity to settle long-pending cases in the simplest and most economical way.
