Nationwide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign will take place in Pauri, Srinagar, Satpuli and Kotdwar on November 6. The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions is running the month-long Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0 from November 1 to 30 to support pensioners under Digital India and Ease of Living initiatives. The campaign seeks to reach pensioners across the country through an outreach plan that promotes Aadhaar-based face authentication for submitting life certificates without biometric devices. The programme also includes doorstep DLC services through India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) for senior and differently-abled pensioners. The consultant Lalta Prasad Pal will visit DLC camps at IPPB head post office, Pauri and State Bank of India branches in Pauri, Srinagar Garhwal, Base Hospital, HNB Srinagar, Satpuli and Kotdwar on November 6. He will review arrangements and interact with pensioners using face authentication and doorstep services. He will also take stock of coordination among banks, the IPPB, UIDAI, NIC and local Pensioners’ Welfare Associations. The officials said that multiple agencies, including banks, India Post Payments Bank, UIDAI, MeitY, NIC, CGDA, Railways and Pensioners’ Welfare Associations, are working together to support participation. The NIC DLC portal is enabling real-time tracking of certificate submissions. The DoPPW states that the initiative supports greater access to digital services for pensioners.
