The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress Dhirendra Pratap has said that by inducting independent MLA Ram Singh Kaida the BJP is promoting the culture of ‘Aaya Ram Gaya Ram’ in politics. The Bhimtal MLA Kaida joined the BJP in New Delhi on Friday in presence of central leaders and the state president of the party.
Congress leader Pratap said that the manner in which three MLAs have joined the BJP recently shows that the party is wary of its impending defeat in the elections. He said that the BJP is panicking due to the campaign undertaken by the Congress party.
Pratap said that the defection is like a blot on the constitution but it is unfortunate that the BJP is glorifying it. He said that Congress is prepared to fight BJP on every front and the MLAs engaged in defection should understand that they are committing political Hara Kiri.
Pratap said that the Congress party is approaching the people through the Parivartan Yatras and once it is in the areas of these defectors MLAs, it will expose them. He claimed that many leaders of BJP are interested to join Congress but the party is not much in the favour of defector culture that is the reason these people are sitting in ‘waiting room’.
