To mark the International Day of Democracy, the District Legal Services Authority, Uttarkashi organised a legal literacy and awareness camp at the Institute of Technology, Baun under Dunda tehsil. The secretary of DLSA, Sachin Kumar gave detailed information to the students present on the features of democracy and told them that in democracy, the people are supreme. While stressing that every person is entitled to justice, he informed that
Legal Services Authority is working at the national, state, district and tehsil levels.
He clarified that any eligible person who is not financially capable of hiring a lawyer can avail the benefit of a free lawyer by submitting an application.
A large number of teachers, students and paralegal workers were present at the camp.
