Harela symbol of people’s faith, sensitivity & responsibility towards nature: Dhami

Chief minister Pushkar Singh said that Harela is not just an occasion but a symbol of the people’s faith, sensitivity and responsibility towards nature. Each person should plant at least one plant and commit to conserve it on this occasion. If the people take the responsibility of taking care of the saplings planted, the coming generations can be provided a green environment. Dhami said this while speaking at the State level ‘Ek Ped Ma Ke Naam’ plantation programme and ‘Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar’ programme on the occasion of Harela in Almora on Thursday.
The CM said that with the Uniform Civil Code, strict anti-conversion law and anti-copying law, the State government had strengthened the State’s cultural identity and secured the future of the youth. Uttarakhand has become an inspiration for other States. Thousands of youth have secured government jobs through a transparent recruitment process in the State, he said.
“We have completed five years of service, good governance and dedication. The Jan-Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan-Jan Ke Dwar campaign is being undertaken on this occasion to ensure that the general public receives the direct benefit of various welfare schemes and services of the government,” he said.
Union minister of State for road Transport and Highways, Ajay Tamta claimed that Uttarakhand is achieving new heights of development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Unprecedented works have been done in the spheres of road, rail digital connectivity, health, education and tourism. He exhorted all citizens to plant and nurture trees for environmental conservation.
Cabinet minister Dhan Singh Rawat, Jageshwar MLA Mohan Singh Mehra and others also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Dhami announced steps for integrated development of Vriddh Jageshwar, drinking water scheme for Vriddh Jageshwar Mandir, tourism based developments for Jageshwar and other works for the area.
