Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced that a new agriculture university will be established in Champawat. The CM gave the gift to the people of his Assembly constituency on Friday. The university will be modelled on the lines of the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. The CM made the announcement while inaugurating and laying foundation stones of 10 projects worth Rs 20.50 crore at Tanakpur on Friday. He said that the new agriculture university will provide local youth with opportunities for higher education and research in agriculture and allied sciences.
