Health Dept to organise health camps in Dehradun

The Health department will organise health camps in the Dehradun district from September 17 to October 2. This information was provided by the chief medical officer of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma.
Sharma said that following the direction of the central government, the State government has instructed them to conduct health camps for the residents of Dehradun district. According to these directives, the Health department has decided to hold the health camps, starting from September 17 and concluding on October 2.
A total of 425 health camps will be set up in the Dehradun district. Commenting about the 425 centres in detail, he said out of these, 402 camps will be established at Ayushman Arogya Mandir and public health centres. Along with this, nine larger health camps will be organised within the district. Six camps will be held at the block level and two camps each established in the municipal corporations of Rishikesh and Dehradun. One camp will also be organised at the municipal council in Mussoorie.
Sharma further detailed that 12 camps will be organised in the urban areas of Dehradun and two camps will be set up in Rishikesh, where doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh will serve. It is important to note that these camps will be free of charge for residents. Individuals will have access to medicines, treatments, TB screening, Ayushman card processing, and screening for other ailments. The main objective of these camps is to provide health treatment to individuals, ensuring that no one is hindered in accessing necessary healthcare, he said.
He added that a nodal officer has been appointed to supervise these camps. The doctors working at these camps will be from urban public health centres and district hospitals. Additionally, Sharma emphasised that 25 additional blood donation camps will also be established.
