The mayor inspected the availability of green fodder, dry fodder, clean drinking water and medicines for cattle. Expressing satisfaction with the arrangements, he appreciated the efforts of the centre’s management and directed them to continue ensuring proper care of the animals.
He also suggested installing a cow dung drying machine to improve waste management and instructed officials to immediately undertake the reconstruction of three sheds used for animal treatment.
Thapliyal said that cow welfare reflects the country’s cultural values and sensitivity towards animals. He stated that the Municipal Corporation is continuously working for the protection and better upkeep of cattle and directed the officials to ensure that animals do not face any discomfort during the summer season, with special attention to their health-related needs.
