Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravindra Jugran on Wednesday urged chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami to accelerate the ongoing recruitment processes, ensure stronger representation in cases pending before the Uttarakhand High Court and maintain greater transparency in all recruitments. During a meeting at the CM’s residence on Wednesday, Jugran submitted a memorandum outlining key concerns. He pointed out that several recruitment processes have been delayed due to pending cases in court. These include 2,000 posts for police constables that have been pending in the High Court for over a year, 370 instructor posts under consideration for the past seven months and 77 draftsman posts pending for around six months. Jugran suggested the CM convene a meeting to address these issues effectively. He recommended the CM to include the chief secretary, secretary (Personnel) and the chairpersons and secretaries of both recruitment commissions in this meeting. Jugran stated that such irregularities and delays adversely affect the youths who work hard for years to pass these recruitment examinations and effective steps should be taken to address it. According to him, Dhami responded positively and assured that a meeting will be called soon to review the pending recruitment matters.
