BLO outreach campaign extended till January 10 in Uttarakhand

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/ Dehradun

The Election Commission of India has extended the block level officer (BLO) outreach campaign in Uttarakhand till January 10. The campaign is being undertaken in Uttarakhand as a preparation for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The assistant chief electoral officer (ACEO) Mastu Das said that the BLO outreach campaign is being undertaken in the State from December 1, 2025.  He said that mapping of 65 per cent voters of the State has been done under the campaign and in view of the convenience of the voters, a decision to extend it till January 10 has been taken. The ERO, BLO and field officers are engaged in the campaign.

Das informed that in the pre SIR phase, the voters who are more than 38 years of age and whose names were registered in the voter list of 2003 are being mapped with the BLO App.  Such voters who don’t figure in the voter list of 2003 and whose parents were in the list of 2003, are being mapped as progeny on the basis of names of their parents and grandparents. The voter list of 2003 can be searched on www.ceo.uk.gov.in and www.voters.eci.gov.in.

Das appealed to the people to provide required information to the BLOs.
