Patanjali & AIIMS Rishikesh sign MoU for integrated healthcare

In an initiative to advance the integration of India’s traditional knowledge systems with modern medical science, Patanjali Research Foundation (PRF), University of Patanjali and All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rishikesh have formalised their collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU).
Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Balkrishna said that the collaboration would not only elevate the partnership among the participating institutions but also strengthen an integrated healthcare model in India, where traditional Indian medical wisdom and modern scientific methodologies work synergistically.
He further emphasised that Patanjali firmly believes that collaborative clinical research, supported by rigorous scientific evidence, would pave the way for more effective, reliable and evidence-based healthcare solutions for mankind.
The executive director and CEO, AIIMS Rishikesh, Dr Meenu Singh remarked that scientific dialogue and collaboration between modern medicine and traditional knowledge are the need of the hour. She highlighted that the MoU would open new avenues for clinical research, innovation and academic excellence.
On this occasion, the pro-vice-chancellor, University of Patanjali, Mayank Kumar Agrawal said that the participating institutions would collaboratively share scientific and technical expertise as necessary and organise training and exchange programmes for students, research scholars, and scientists as per the agreement.
Among others who spoke on the occasion was the dean (Research), AIIMS Rishikesh, Shailendra Handu who highlighted that this partnership would promote the development of scientifically validated, evidence-based healthcare solutions for patients by harnessing the combined strengths of Ayurveda and modern medicine.
