To promote financial inclusion, Indian Overseas Bank in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) organised a Re-KYC Awareness and Financial Inclusion Camp at Bheemawala village in Dehradun district on Thursday. Besides senior banking and regulatory officials, the locals in large numbers attended it.
Among the dignitaries present were the regional director, RBI, Dehradun, Arvind Kumar; general manager, Department of Financial Inclusion, RBI, Neeta Navroz; DGM, PNB, P S Rawat and chief manager, Indian Overseas Bank, Ramji Singh. They emphasised on the imperative of periodic KYC update as per RBI guidelines. Detailed guidance was given on document requirements and submission procedures. Customers were also urged to update their KYC well before the renewal deadline.
