The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in Dehradun district has increased to 98 following three new cases reported on Saturday. Informing about this, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Dehradun Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma confirmed that all three new cases, which were being reported on Saturday, are local.
He further informed that out of the total 98 cases, 83 involve local residents, while 15 are migrants. Currently, there are four active Covid-19 cases in the district and all of them are receiving care at home, Dr Sharma said.
He also added that 12 samples were tested for Covid-19 on Saturday, raising the overall number of samples tested to 1,031. Importantly, there have been no reported deaths related to Covid-19 in Dehradun so far.
Notably, earlier doctors advised people to in order to prevent themselves from covid-19 adopt necessary precautions to combat Covid-19, such as maintaining physical distance, wearing masks and practicing good hygiene.
