The Uttarakhand government has decided to observe Earth Hour from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM on March 28, 2026. This campaign has been organised in response to a letter from WWF India, New Delhi.
According to the officials, during this hour, residents of the State are encouraged to turn off all non-essential lights and electrical appliances. This initiative aims to raise awareness about conserving natural resources, maintaining environmental balance and ensuring a better future for generations to come.
Officials have appealed to all citizens of the State to actively participate in this global environmental initiative by switching off non-essential electrical appliances during the designated time.
