The leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha, Yashpal Arya and senior Congress leader Pritam Singh have resigned from the Vidhan Sabha Business Advisory Committee (BAC).
Singh said that by holding the session for only two days the State government has made a mockery of democracy. He said that the business of the house for only the first day was decided in the meeting of the BAC held on August 18 and it was informed that the business for the remaining days will be decided later.
Singh said that the government arbitrarily decided the business on August 19 in which it decided to curtail the session. He said that in such a situation there is no point in continuing to be a part of the BAC.
