Young Doonites are increasingly using artificial intelligence (AI) for their day-to-day activities: from chatbots and classroom use to fitness, social media strategy, fashion research, career planning and much more.

Several Gen Z users say AI-powered platforms now perform tasks that once required paid services. A city-based fitness enthusiast, Anit Shivach said that he uses ChatGPT to design gym diets and workout plans. “The platforms calculate calorie needs, protein intake and meal plans based on body weight and fitness goals,” he said, adding that many young people prefer such apps over hiring personal trainers due to lower costs and flexible access.

A content creator, Sumit Arora echoed the view, saying that AI tools help monitor trending topics, analyse engagement metrics and schedule posts. According to him, the technology suggests captions, hashtags and posting times based on platform algorithms, helping creators stay relevant in a competitive digital space.

In fashion too, AI is in vogue, principally used as a research assistant. Tanuja Mehra, who manages a fashion-focused Instagram page, said that tools like Claude and Gemini help track global trends, colour palettes and styling concepts. “The technology reduces research time and helps plan seasonal content,” she noted.

A fitness freak, Dhruv Tomar said that he relies on AI applications, including Zing Coach, for home workout recommendations tailored to available equipment and individual fitness levels.

According to a Cyber Cell expert, Rahul Kumar, AI enhances productivity and creativity, but at the same time he cautions users against sharing sensitive personal information. He advised verifying AI-generated content and avoiding over-reliance.
