PIONEEREDGE NEWS SERVICE | Dehradun
The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that 117 temporary yoga instructors would soon be posted in government colleges. “This will facilitate the students of higher educational institutions to receive yoga training alongside their academic studies,” he added.
The Higher Education department has solicited applications from candidates on the ‘Rojgar Prayag Portal’ of the Skill Development and Employment department for these positions. Thereafter, the department has formed an interview committee and fixed dates for the applicants’ interviews.
As per the schedule, interviews will be held on August 28, 29 and 30 at Doon University campus. A total of 640 candidates had applied for the positions on the Rojgar Prayag Portal, but only 460 of them uploaded their educational and work experience certificates. “Each day, 50 candidates will be interviewed in four shifts. Additionally, on August 30, candidates who are unable to attend on previous days will also be included,” Rawat said.
The minister further said that after the interviews, a priority list would be prepared based on the departmental roster and selected candidates would be assigned to various colleges through outsourcing according to their preferred options of posting. “The departmental officers have been instructed to conduct the interviews with complete transparency to ensure that the deserving candidates have a fair opportunity,” he noted.
