Man found printing counterfeit notes in rented home

The Haridwar police seized counterfeit currency amounting to Rs 29,800 from the home of a man after he was first caught red handed trying to use the counterfeit notes. According to the police, a person had reached a shop in Brahmpuri of SIIDCUL area at 9 PM on Wednesday to collect goods. 

On receiving the money, the shopkeeper got suspicious of the Rs 100 and Rs 200 denomination notes and caught the suspect. On the information of the nearby shopkeepers, the police also reached the spot and interrogated the suspect.  SIIDCUL police station inspector Pramod Uniyal said that the accused identified himself as Naresh Kumar Saini, a native of Bijnor district in Uttar Pradesh currently residing in Dheerwali area of Jwalapur.

The police then search the rented accommodation of the accused where they found counterfeit notes of RS 100 and Rs 200 denomination amounting to Rs 29,800. The printer and dye used by the accused for making the counterfeit notes were also seized. The police are investigating the matter further to check for his accomplices or gang.
